Why do I need a syllabus, and how do I get it?

Short answer: For master's and PhD visas, the national rules list a transcript plus the detailed program of every subject you studied (MUR circular). Universities also use it to check your subject credits.

• Ask your department or controller office for an official syllabus booklet, signed and stamped.
• It can take weeks. Ask in your final semester, not after graduation.
• The university's course page says whether a translation is needed for English documents.
