Will there be an interview? Why are student visas refused?

Short answer: The embassy may check your documents and language further (MUR circular). Be ready to explain your plan in your own words.

Prepare these answers: why this course, how it links to your HSC subjects, why Italy, who pays and what they do for a living, where you will live first, and what you plan after the degree.

Common reasons for refusal: pre enrolment not validated (automatic refusal), funds below the requirement or unclear, a course that does not fit your background, doubts about documents, and overall migration risk.

If refused: read the letter; it states the reasons and how to challenge the decision. Get proper advice. Never "fix" a refusal with edited or borrowed documents.
