Bachelor's · Part F: Universitaly and the visa
What counts as accommodation and insurance for the visa?
Accommodation, any one of these (Dhaka checklist):
- A booking for temporary accommodation of at least 30 days
- A rental or purchase contract
- A hospitality declaration signed by an Italian citizen or a foreigner with a valid Italian residence permit, with a copy of their ID
An application for a university residence is not enough (MUR circular).
Insurance: travel health insurance valid in the whole Schengen area for your whole stay. After arrival you need health cover again for the residence permit (B35).
This page explains official rules in plain language. I am not an immigration adviser and I do not give visa advice. For that, always use official government sources. Rules change: confirm with your university, the embassy and VFS before you act.
