Master's · Part B: Am I eligible?
I have a study gap, a low CGPA or work experience. How does that affect me?
Short answer: A gap is not a legal bar. Work experience in your field helps. Each university sets its own minimum grades, so check before applying.
- The embassy looks at the quality of your previous studies and whether the course fits them (MUR circular). A gap explained with a job letter is fine.
- Relevant work experience strengthens both your motivation letter and your visa story.
- If your CGPA is below a course's minimum, apply elsewhere rather than hoping for an exception.
This page explains official rules in plain language. I am not an immigration adviser and I do not give visa advice. For that, always use official government sources. Rules change: confirm with your university, the embassy and VFS before you act.
