How does the VFS appointment work in Bangladesh?
Short answer: VFS emails students whose pre enrolment is validated. The last day to apply for 2026/27 is 30 November 2026 (Embassy notice).

- Fingerprints are mandatory for national visas since 11 January 2025 (MUR circular).
- Italian embassies usually list the study visa fee at €50 (Embassy of Italy Budapest), plus the VFS service charge.
- Appointments are always free, even through VFS (Embassy of Italy Dhaka).
- You get a type D study visa, 365 days, multiple entries.
- How long it takes from Dhaka: I do not know. No processing time is published and it varies with the season. Other Italian missions warn of up to 90 days, so apply as early as your documents allow and ask VFS what they are seeing.
