Do universities offer their own scholarships?

Short answer: Yes, many do, for merit or need. Trento, for example, offered two scholarships of €7,200 a year for each of two international master's programs in 2026/27 (Embassy of Italy Nicosia). Search each university's "scholarships" page, and note that many close with the first admission round.
