CIMEA or Declaration of Value: which one do I need for my bachelor's degree?

Short answer: For the visa you need one of them for your bachelor's degree: a CIMEA statement of comparability plus a statement of verification, or a Declaration of Value (DOV) from the Italian embassy (MUR circular). Check which one your university wants.

  • Dhaka accepts a DOV receipt. A DOV already issued, the receipt of your DOV application, or a verifiable CIMEA certificate are all listed (Dhaka checklist). Ask VFS Dhaka for the current DOV steps.
  • University discounts. Siena lists CIMEA comparability at €150 in 15 working days and verification at €65 in 30 working days for its applicants (University of Siena). Check for a dedicated CIMEA link at your university.
  • Start early. If you already have your degree, start CIMEA before admission results. Sixty working days is about three months.

Why ARDI, CIMEA’s faster route, does not apply to Bangladeshi qualifications is explained in V6.

This page explains official rules in plain language. I am not an immigration adviser and I do not give visa advice. For that, always use official government sources. Rules change: confirm with your university, the embassy and VFS before you act.
