What about the codice fiscale, money and a bank account?

  • Codice fiscale is your Italian tax code, needed for enrolment, a SIM, a bank account and rent. It is free. Get it at an Agenzia delle Entrate office after arrival, through your university's welcome desk, or ask your embassy whether it issues one before travel.
  • Sending money from Bangladesh: open a student file with an authorised bank so tuition and living costs go abroad legally. Ask your bank for the current Bangladesh Bank rules. Keep every receipt.
  • On arrival: carry some euros in cash and an international card.
  • Bank account in Italy: open one once you have the codice fiscale; some banks also ask for the residence permit receipt.
  • Keep the visa money where it is. You may need to show funds again for the residence permit and every renewal.

This page explains official rules in plain language. I am not an immigration adviser and I do not give visa advice. For that, always use official government sources. Rules change: confirm with your university, the embassy and VFS before you act.
