Bachelor's · Part F: Universitaly and the visa
What documents do I need for the visa from Dhaka?
Short answer: Follow the embassy's own checklist, updated in July 2026 (Dhaka checklist).
- National (D type) visa form in English or Italian, signed (by both parents if you are under 18)
- One ICAO photo, 3.5 x 4.0 cm, white background, taken in the last 6 months
- Passport valid at least 3 months beyond the visa, two blank pages, plus a copy of the bio pages
- Universitaly pre enrolment summary showing enrolment and tuition fees
- Declaration of Value (or its application receipt), or a verifiable CIMEA certificate
- Scholarship award letter, if any (it does not replace the money proof)
- IELTS 6 or above (or B2 Italian), issued within two years, unless verified on Universitaly
- Your own 12 month bank statement from a bank operating in Bangladesh, plus other proof of solvency
- Your sponsor's 12 month bank statement and proof of where the money comes from
- Apostilled birth certificate, if a parent sponsors you
- Accommodation proof (B26)
- One way flight booking with the reservation number
- Travel insurance valid in the whole Schengen area for the whole stay
- Extra papers if you are under 18 (B25)
This page explains official rules in plain language. I am not an immigration adviser and I do not give visa advice. For that, always use official government sources. Rules change: confirm with your university, the embassy and VFS before you act.
