What is ISEE parificato, and what documents do I need?

Short answer: It is an Italian calculation of your family's income and assets abroad, made by a CAF (tax assistance centre) from official documents you bring from home.

  • Family composition certificate
  • Income of every adult family member for the reference year
  • Property owned by the family, with the size of each house or flat
  • Bank balances
  • All issued by the competent authority, apostilled or legalised, and translated into Italian (University of Pisa)

Many universities work with a partner CAF that sends the result directly to them (University of Padova).

Bhaia's honest note: Your family cannot look poor on scholarship papers and rich on visa papers. The embassy checks whether your funds match your family's income and assets. Use true documents on both sides. A fake income certificate is a crime and can end your plans for good.

This page explains official rules in plain language. I am not an immigration adviser and I do not give visa advice. For that, always use official government sources. Rules change: confirm with your university, the embassy and VFS before you act.
