Strategy and research for organisations
I help companies build the strategy for their next tier of growth, and do it in a way that lasts.
I run the analysis and come back with recommendations you can act on, not a report that sits in a drawer.
I teach Business Strategy at IBA, University of Dhaka, and I've spent a decade producing the kind of analysis organisations actually use: export potential studies, sector diagnostics, market assessments, and training programmes for institutions.
What I do
Strategy diagnostics
A diagnostic before we meet, a half- or full-day working session, and a written action memo afterwards. For teams circling the same decision without landing it.
Export and market studies
Market potential, competitor benchmarking, value chain mapping, and the technical and regulatory requirements of destination markets.
Workshops and training design
Curriculum design, session materials, simulations and training of trainers, in Bangla, English or both.
Research design and review
Study design, survey instruments, interview protocols, and independent review of draft reports.
Track record
Export potential and competitiveness studies on plastic toys, live eel exports, agro-processing, cut flowers and ICT, using ITC and UN Comtrade data alongside firm interviews.
Capacity-building programmes on WTO principles, trade facilitation and import policy, including regional training across six South Asian countries.
Mixed-methods research: I work in Stata and R, and use NVivo for qualitative coding.
How to start
Tell me the decision you're facing, not the deliverable you think you need. Most first conversations change the scope.
